Imagine a world without Dexion Slotted Angle It’s been around for fifty years so it is difficult to imagine a world without it. Used worldwide for benches, display cabinets, safety screens, access platforms, fire barriers, security cages, jigs, test-rigs and 1001 other applications it’s the indispensible, do everything construction system. Dexion Slotted Angle is quickly and easily cut to size and bolted together to form frameworks which can be readily modified or completely dismantled and the components re-used. Strong enough to last a lifetime and infinitely re-usable.

Start with a simple sketch.
A detailed design is not necessary for most Slotted Angle structures.
Then cut the Angle to length.
Each Angle has a cutting mark every 76mm (3") to make accurate cutting easy.

Use plywood or chipboard to make a strong, made to measure bench.
Add castors to turn it into a trolley.

Building Tips

Angle Tips

To make sure your structure is rigid, use Corner Plates on 140 or 160 Angle and two bolt fixings on 225 or 260 Angle. It’s usually best to build the sides of a structure first and then join them with the horizontal members. Start by doing up nuts and bolts ‘finger tight’. Then square up the structure and tighten the nuts and bolts using spanners. Dexion Slotted Angle is the perfect everyday answer for simple rigid structures.
